Darius snaps up a love nest in Hollywood

SCOTS pop star Darius has splashed out on a love nest in the Hollywood Hills.

The Pop Idol singer, 24, has snapped up a luxury apartment after weeks of house-hunting in LA.

And he confessed he has bought the plush home to be near movie star girlfriend Natasha Henstridge.

The heart-throb will be rubbing shoulders with top Hollywood stars including Brad Pitt, Renee Zellweger and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Darius, who shot to the top of the charts with single Colourblind, told the Razz: 'I'm very much in love with Natasha and we are very much together so, yes, it helped me decide to buy property in LA.

'She is gorgeous on the outside and beautiful on the inside.

'I'm only 24 so I'm not thinking about marriage or anything like that, not till I'm at least 30.

'But things are going very, very well with Natasha.'

Darius, who played a sell-out gig at Culzean Castle in Ayrshire with Girls Aloud on Saturday, now has bases in London and LA as well as his native Glasgow.

He said: 'I have bought a property in LA.

'But although I have a foothold in LA and a foothold in London, my home is Glasgow.

'My guitar is in my bedroom in Glasgow and it will always be my home.

'Home is where the heart is.'

Despite this, Darius has been spending a lot of time in the US.

He said: 'I've been doing a lot of work in LA writing songs. I recorded half the songs on my first album and half of my second album out in LA and am very lucky to have worked with such talented people.

'I plan to spend time out there working on new material.'

The singer, who was working alongside top producers The Matrix in Hollywood, will also enjoy spending time with stunning Natasha while he is in the States.

The couple, who have had an on-off romance, have been back together since they rekindled their relationship in February.

Darius jetted out to LA on Valentine's Day to be with the Species actress.

He first met Natasha, 30, while recording in LA last year.

The actress, who starred in The Whole Ten Yards, appeared in his red hot video for Live Twice, in which the pair romp on a beach in Spain.

After four months the relationship petered out, but they were spotted together in Glasgow over Christmas.

Darius has been seen with a series of beauties since he first shot to fame.

As well as former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Natasha, he has dated Lynx model Jacqui Ainsley and was linked with Emmerdale actress Amy Nuttall and his keyboard player Sarah Decourcy
