Snogging fans, making like P Diddy and hanging with Lionel Richie - it's a grand life for Darius.

What's the last freebie you got and how come you got it?

I was recording the tube doors at Victoria Station last week for a track on my album. The girls at the Upper Crust sandwich bar made me a delicious chicken sandwich in exchange for an autograph.

What's the most money you've blown in a single day?

A grand. After the Glasgow Smash Hits gig I went out with Will Young, Zoe Birkett, Sarah Whatmore, Harvey from So Solid, and the Sugababes, plus loads of my university mates. i wanted to make sure everyone had a good time, so I put money behind the bar. it was my P Diddy moment.

When was the last time you used your celebrity status to get something?

When I was flying to LA I blagged an upgrade. Oh my God, BA First Class is the mutt's nuts.

Have you been to the Met Bar?

No. Althugh I've been drinking alcohol again since finishing my album, so I hope there wn't be any pictures of me staggering out of there.

What's your best tip for posing for photographers?

Don't be hungover.

When was the last time you were papped?

Leaving the airport half asleep this morning at 6am.

Have you ever snogged a fan?

When I was playing in Aberdeen I climbed up the side of the stage and my guitar fell off my back and had to be fixed. To kill time I got this girl up on stage and started to serenade her, and I ended up snogging her.

Name a famous person you've snogged.

I have snogged a celebrity, but I never kiss and tell.

Name one famous person you know has got a crush on you.

I did an interview on Capital with Foxy, and Holly Valance was on straight after me. He asked her which male celebrity she thinks is cute and apparently she said me.

When were you last at another celeb's house and what was it like?

I met Lionel Richie in London, and when I was in LA he invited me over to his place. it's incredible, wihth a studio and every facility you could want.

Who's the most boring celeb you've ever met?

There are far too many to begin to answer that.

Tell us a secret about a star

I won't tell you, but there is a secret about a celebrity, well hidden in the lyrics of the track Sliding Door, which is on my new album.

Finally, what's the best thing about being a celeb?

I'll tell you that whenever I start feeling like one.
