Darius on partying with Pierce Brosnan and his dad, and a fan who sent him a naked girl.......
Have you got any celebrity friends?
I'm friends with all the finalists from Pop Idol. I'm good friends with Will Young. We try to catch up with each other when our schedules allow it.
When were you last recognised?
All the time! I was walking down the street today and a man came up to me and said, "Alright , Darius, you're doing really well." After Pop Idol I got a lot of abuse. Now people are always very friendly and complimentary. It's difficult to get used to the change!
What was the last freebie that you blagged?
I was sent a beautiful pair of Dolce & Gabbana jeans recently but they were too short for me. I ended up giving them to my little brother. I was gutted.
Who was the last celebrity you snogged?
A gentleman never talks about such things!
What was the best showbiz party you've been to?
The party for the Die Another Day premiere last year at the Royal Albert Hall was very decadent - everything you'd expect a Bond party to be. The organisers even recreated the Ice Palace from the film. Afterwards, I went to a private party Pierce Brosnan held in his hotel suite. I partied with Pierce, his wife Keely and son Sean. I also met Pierce's dad and we sat drinking whisky together until the early hours of the morning.
When was the last time you jumped to the front of a queue?
I can't remember. I don't mind waiting to get in with everybody else.
When was the last time you were caught off-guard by a camera?
A few months ago while I was waiting for the bus one afternoon in London. I was standing there lost in my thoughts and suddenly a camera was in my face.
What is the strangest thing you ever read about yourself?
That I was going out with a girl from this terrible Canadian pop group. I met her at Party In The Park in Scotland and we had our picture taken together. Suddenly it was all over the papers that I'd fallen madly in love and had asked her to marry me. I wouldn't have minded but she wasn't even the pretty one in the group!
Who is the most boring celeb you've ever met?
Tony Blackburn was really boring. I was truly dumbfounded by his dullness. The man just went completely over my head.
What was the last thing a fan sent you?
A beautiful painting of a naked girl in the moon, a homage to my single Girl In The Moon. I was really touched.
