Oh dear, just what has Darius done to upset this little pup?
Maybe he's told his little namesake that he only has eyes for another cute little blonde? The hunk was at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in Leamington Spa after the charity won a competition for him to perform at their workplace. The singer erefused to answer questions about rumours of a romance with ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell but told Kiss and Tell that he loved dogs.
Yet despite being best chums with Geri, he claimed he'd never met her little mutt.
"I really do like dogs but I've never met Geri's" he told me, "I don't even know what kind of dog it is."
But he was chuffed to hear the association has named a guide dog after him.
"That's amazing," he said,"I can't believe it. Is the dog really named after me?"
And there's even more good news for the Pop Idol loser. His tune Kinda Love is to be featured in a Bollywood movie.
"It got picked up while I was over there and they want to use it in a film. I love India, and there's talk of me doing a tour there."
After our chat, Darius performed a set in front of excited office workers who had won the intimate gig in a Heart FM competition.

Pop hunk Darius Danesh melted a few hearts when he dropped in for lunch with workers at a Warwickshire charity.

The Scottish star met staff at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, in Leamington, before singing some of his chart hits to a captivated audience.

The charity won the visit after entering a radio competition.

Jayne Neal, the charity's corporate relations manager, said: "Darius is a firm favourite here, especially with the girls."

Darius has carved out a successful career despite his early ear-wrenching version of Britney Spears' Hit Me Baby One More Time on TV's Popstars contest. He later returned to the screens in the reality TV follow-up Pop Idol and has since gone on to achieve chart success with a string of top 20 singles and a hit album. While at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association Darius also met his namesake - a six-week-old golden retriever guide dog puppy.

Darius Danesh is best known for his Pop Idol performance and his subsequent chart success. Born in Glasgow and named after a Persian king (his dad's from Persia), Darius has been writing songs and performing from an early age. As a kid, his favourite singers were George Michael and Madonna.

Darius first turned up on our TV screens in the Popstars talent search. Despite being asked to leave in the final stages of that contest as he went along to the Pop Idols auditions and the rest as they say is pop music history.

After signing with Mercury, Darius release his debut album 'Dive In' which spawned four UK chart hits including 'Colourblind' which reached the number one spot. His latest album 'Live Twice' has already produced two hit singles; 'Kinda Love' and 'Live Twice'.

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell’s bad temper surfaced again when she and her “pal” Darius Danesh had a massive row in the street near her West London home.

The 32 year old who recently tried to persuade us that she was seeing ex pop idol Dazza kicked off when he told her he’d got back together with US actress Natasha Henstridge 30.

News that Darius right, who came third in the reality show two years ago has found love again has not gone down well with Geri.

A source close to the ginger star revealed “Darius and Natasha have kept in close contact with one another since their split last year. And recently Darius has said he wants nothing more than to rekindle the romance they shared. He wants to give things another go, even if he is living in London and she is based in LA. But Geri has become used tohim being around and didn’t seem too happy about the idea of Darius getting involved with Natasha again. In fact she is extremely protective of him and really doesn’t want him get hurt or upset”

We can’t help thinking Geri may be a tad jealous that the 24 yr old has found something more interesting to do with his life than posing with an aging spice girl to try to persuade the world that they are an item.

Unlucky in love Gezza who counts Chris Evans 38, Robbie Williams 30, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst 33, Blue’s hunk Duncan James 25 and coffee republic boss Bobby Hashemi among her exes, eclipsed even our wild expectations when she cringingly clung to the colourblind star in a saddo bid to raise her profile.

Darius first fell for Natasha after she appeared in his Kinda Love video last August.

The pair were said to be majorly loved up but distance took it’s toll and the couple sadly drifted apart just two months later much to Danesh’s disappointment.

Looks like Darius has a chance to Live Twice then.

RESTAURANT...Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's (020-7499 0099). I've never tasted meat as good as that I ate there. The lamb just falls off the bone.

DELI...The one at Harrods (020-7730 1234). They've got a great selection of Middle Eastern dishes - there's a sweet-and-sour one with apricots in it that is just fantastic. They also make good hummus - although nowhere near as good as my dad's.

DRINK...B52s if I'm on a devilish streak. They're the best shot because you don't get a horrible aftertaste like with tequila. It just leaves you with a warm tummy and sweet lips - very nice if you're with a girlfriend.

TAKEAWAY...You wouldn't think of this as a takeaway but Wagamama (020-7631 3140) is great. If you ring them on your way home you can just pick it up. It's heaven-sent and very healthy, unless you get the deep-fried ebi katsu. The ramen soup is great at this time of year, especially when I can't have my mum's chicken soup.

COMFORT FOOD...Chocolate, especially if I've got a broken heart. I have been known to go to Harvey Nichols, buy a tray of good-quality Belgian chocolates and demolish the whole lot.

FOODIE MEMORY...My gran used to cook the most delicious Aberdeen Angus steak, which she'd serve with bubble and squeak. I don't know what went into that bubble and squeak but it was really rich, and I'd spend ages cutting the steak into slivers.

HUNKY singer Darius has been shortlisted as one of Britain's top heartthrobs.

Pop Idol star Darius has been nominated for an award as a 'tempter' in the first Valentine's honours list.

He is up against Duncan James of boyband Blue and Nigel Harman of EastEnders.

The winners will be decided by a Valentine's Day vote on a dating website.

Darius Danesh gets the sixth new entry of the week at Number 7 and lands himself a Top 10 followup to 'Kinda Love' with the title track from his second album. This new single eschews the bubbly ba-ba-ba-ba chorus of its predecessor and instead is a rather tender and soulful ballad that in truth shows off the range of his voice far better than anything he has released before. It is to his credit that of the Pop Idol class of 2002 he is up there with Will and Gareth in terms of chart longevity and the more you listen to his second album the easier it becomes to put aside memories of him being an arrogant arse on television and appreciate him for the fine singer songwriter that he is. I still hope the Geri thing is a publicity stunt though.

DARIUS DANESH looked like he'd clicked with a new female friend at a photographic show.

The singer, linked with GERI HALLIWELL, arrived at the London gallery with dad BOOTH.

As they left, Dad got in one cab and Darius, 24, and a dark-haired beauty jumped in another.

It was a poignant moment for the former Pop Idol star, who recently paid tribute to his father Booth Danesh's battle with cancer.

The 62-year-old Glasgow surgeon, given weeks to live after being diagnosed last February, has made a remarkable recovery. They were seen arriving at London art gallery on Thursday.

Former Pop Idol Darius Danesh has revealed that thanks to family members in Ballymena two of his favourite things are Guinness and The Corrs.

And the singer says that although he may have no chance of winning over a Corrs sister he does have a special way of drinking his pint of the Black Stuff.

He said: "My number one favourite drink is Guinness and every time I visit my family in Northern Ireland I make sure I get a few pints.

"There's a great cocktail I make with it but it's really important not to try this until you've had about two or three pints first to line your stomach.

"It's called a Dr Pepper and you take a pint of Guinness, drink half of it and fill the other half up with lemonade.

"Once you've done that you take a shot of Amaretto and literally drop the shot glass into the pint glass and then you down it in one.

"I'll tell you something if you've never tried it - don't forget to line your stomach because the results can be scary if you don't.

"I think the perfect night out would be with The Corrs, minus the brother of course, in a pub somewhere in Belfast drinking Guinness.

"I think I can honestly say they're the three finest looking girls on the planet.

"Yeah, that would be my perfect night. I love Irish and Northern Irish pubs, the atmosphere and everything about them, in fact you can often find me in search of an Irish or Northern Irish bar no matter where I go."

Darius' single Live Twice, which is also the title track of his album, which is dedicated to his father who was diagnosed with cancer, is out next Monday throughout the province and next Friday in Ireland.

THE cat and mouse game that is Darius' love life is certainly keeping him in the papers. The young Glaswegian stallion was caught out by our daily showbiz column when he brought Natasha Henstridge over for New Year. He's claimed they aren't an item, but has he been telling porkies?

Not that he's been quiet - he's also been furiously denying any relationship with Geri Halliwell although they've been spotted together more often than some married couples.

The 24-year old Glaswegian star will be appearing at Woolworths in the High Street, signing copies of his new single, Live Twice, on Tuesday, January 11, from 5pm until 6.30pm.

The 24-year-old Glaswegian will be appearing at Woolworths, in High Street, on Monday from 5-6.30pm.

Darius made his name as a singer/songwriter on ITV's reality TV talent-spotting shows Popstars and Pop Idol.

After securing a record deal with Universal his debut single, Colourblind, shot to number one, followed by two more top 10 singles and his debut album Dive In.

HE may try to keep his love life under wraps, but Scots singer Darius was caught out when he invited his ex-girlfriend, film star Natasha Henstridge, to Scotland for Hogmanay.

The pair were spotted having their hair styled in top Scots salon Taylor Ferguson in Glasgow, before hitting the shops.

Darius obviously had loving on his mind - he ducked into Ann Summers for a quick browse, but came out empty-handed.

After a scout around the shops, the couple popped into the city's UGC cinema to catch up on a festive film, before heading to Edinburgh to bring in the Bells.

An on-looker said: 'They appeared to be having a great time.

'They clearly get on well together. 'They disappeared into the Ann Summers shop, but Darius didn't seem to buy anything.'

Last night the hunky singer refused to confirm or deny whether the pair are back together, but admitted they spent time together over the festive season. Darius, 24, said: 'Natasha wasn't with me the whole time over New Year.

'On Hogmanay we went through to Edinburgh and had a nice dinner at the Caledonian.

'We came back on the Saturday and had a cosy, lazy family time together and celebrated news of my dad's return to health.

'It was lovely to be at home and I really enjoyed being back in Scotland, though it's been too brief.'

Darius first started dating Natasha, 30, when he met her while recording new material in Los Angeles.

The Whole Ten Yards actress then starred in his red hot video for Live Twice, in which the pair romp on a beach in Spain.

After four months the relationship petered out - largely due to the fact that Natasha is based in Hollywood.

But her presence in Glasgow last week indicates the pair may well be back together.

The news will come as a blow to former Spice Girl Geri,who has spent a considerable amount of time with Darius in recent months.

The Colourblind singer joined Geri at her Christmas party in London and was on her arm at a gala performance of the Nutcracker.

And just days later he joined her at the posh Beckham christening party - where it's rumoured they enjoyed a steamy kiss.

Darius has been seen with a series of beauties since he first shot to fame on the Popstars show.

As well as Geri and Natasha, he has dated the model Jacqui Ainsley and was linked with Emmerdale actress Amy Nuttall and his keyboard player Sarah Decourcy.

In early November he dropped hints to the Razz that he had his eye on a very special someone - but he wasn't revealing names.

He said: 'You can be in love and not be attached.

'I am single just now, but it's all about chemistry.'

And he even had words of advice, saying: 'If you chase something, you never get it.'

Darius will appear on ITV's This Morning today, performing his new single, which he wrote for his father.
