It seems that even two years into their relationship, Hollywood actress Natasha Henstridge is having some trouble embracing the Scottish heritage of her boyfriend, singer Darius Danesh.
'Darius took me up to Loch Lomond last week. I got confused and asked him if I could see the Loch Ness Monster there,' giggled leggy Natasha, while partaking in the polo tradition of stamping divots at the Gold Cup at Cowdray Park this weekend.
The Canadian actress,31 - who was raised in a trailor park and left home at 14 to model in Paris before going on to star as a man-eating alien in the sci-fi thriller Species - shares her time with 25 year old Darius between homes in Los Angelas and London.
During their Highland fling, the half-Iranian, half-Scottish singer, fresh from starring for a second time in the Wesh End Musical Chicago, also introduced his girlfriend to a few local delicacies. 'He persuaded me to try haggis and neeps and tattird,' says Nartasha, gamely trying to disguise her evident revulsion. 'Put it this way - they weren't my favorite food.'
BIG Brother chiefs censored new housemate Michael's T-shirt... because it had a picture of Darius on it.
The 23-year-old gay fashion student says he loves the Glasgow singer's Latino looks.
But his T-shirt has been censored under Big Brother rules which bar housemates from wearing clothing with pictures on.
Michael, of Oldham, had to stick tape over Darius' face but removed it while in the house next door.
He said: "I love Darius. I find him very attractive as he has the dark good looks I go for in a man."
Michael, who entered the main house on Wednesday added: "I've got all his music but it would be good to see him in person."
Michael wants "to show you can be smart, bigheaded and effervescent at the same time as being sincere, loving and serious".
SCOTS singer Darius Danesh turned vigilante when two men attacked a woman pal.
He was in a London bar with fellow cast members from West End musical Chicago when trouble started.
The woman's hand was cut and she was spat at before Darius spoke to the bouncers and had the thugs kicked out.
But they waited for his group to leave and followed them to another bar, where they threw a bottle at Darius, narrowly missing him.
Bouncers grabbed one of the men but the other ran off.
Darius, from Bearsden, near Glasgow, gave chase but lost him and returned to tell the cops what had happened.
Police confirmed a man had been arrested.
Chicago star Darius Danesh chased two men from a London nightclub last night after they attacked a girl he was partying with and threw a bottle at him.
The Scottish singer was at the Cheers Bar in Piccadilly with cast members from the West End musical when the two men assaulted a girl from his group. She was spat at and left with a cut hand.
Darius informed the bouncers who ejected the men, but they waited outside for him and began pushing and shoving him. Undeterred, Darius lead his party to the nearby Cuckoo Club, but the men followed and threw a bottle at the singer, narrowly missing him.
Darius chased one of the men while the other was held by bouncers, but the Scottish star lost him in the back streets of Picadilly.
He then returned to tell his story to the police, who were by this time waiting outside the Cuckoo Club, but insisted he would not press charges against the men.
