POP hunk Darius Danesh found it hard to concentrate during his cameo role in Hollyoaks because of the teen soap's beautiful stars.

The chart-topper is used to adoring female fans throwing themselves at him.

But when faced with a bevy of Hollyoaks beauties, the hot and bothered singer couldn't keep his mind on the job.

Darius headlines the graduation ball in this Friday's episode of the Channel 4 soap.

And the 22-year-old has admitted watching all those Hollyoaks babes - including blonde beauty Elize du Toit and leggy Ali Bastian - dancing to his music in their skimpy outfits got him hot under the collar.

He said: "Something about acting with the Hollyoaks girls brought me out in a sweat.

"Maybe it was the fact there were so many beautiful girls in one room ... and they were all looking at me.

"The Hollyoaks girls are amazingly attractive and because it was a ball they were all wearing revealing dresses.

POP sensation Darius made one little girl’s dreams come true when he serenaded her on stage in front of 45,000 screaming fans.

Megan Willmott, ten, of Albanks, Dunstable, was selected from the audience by dishy Darius while he played at the Summer XS concert at Milton Keynes Bowl last weekend.

The Ashton Middle School pupil, who was with her mum Nicky, was helped to stage after the Scotsman asked ‘Does anyone want to join me?’

The pair held hands as Darius – who shot to fame after appearing on the TV shows Popstars and Pop Idol – sang his latest single The Girl In The Moon.

Proud Nicky told Dunstable on Sunday: “We were near the front and were getting a bit crushed by all the people pushing trying to get closer to Darius. When he asked if anyone wanted to join him, we both started waving frantically. He caught Megan’s eye, held a hand out and beckoned to her.

“The next thing I know he’s holding her hand and singing to her. She was the envy of every girl in the crowd. She was speechless when she came back because she’s his number one fan. It’s a moment neither of us will ever forget.

“She’s now become a little celebrity at school, everyone’s interested in what it was like to be so close to such a big pop star. The whole thing has been brilliant.”

Megan added: “When I first got on stage I felt really nervous but Darius held my hand and made me feel safe. He’s got a wicked voice and was really cute.”

The Irvinestown woman, whose fun flirting with fellow Fame Academy mate, Malachi, had fans hoping they would become a couple, now has a special singing flatmate - notorious ladies man, Darius.

Sunday Life's Stephanie Bell was the first to break the story of a possible tug-of-love between Malachi and Darius for Sinead's affections, last March.

For Darius exclusively revealed to Sunday Life, that the 22-year-old green-eyed stunner, was the young woman of his dreams.

He admitted: "She is such a lovely girl, with a fantastic voice and a brilliant personality. She is the salt of the earth, the kind of girl I would date. In fact, I think I will invite her out for a drink this week."

And, the feeling seemed to be mutual, after Sinead told Sunday Life just days later: "I'm flattered. Darius is great and, if he asked me out, I'd be mad not to go."

Whether a fine romance has developed, between Sinead and Darius, has been officially denied. But, the pop pair's record company, Mercury, confirmed that the couple are now sharing a flat in London together.

A spokeswoman told Sunday Life: "Yes, they are now living together, but just as friends and mates, nothing else.

"It's not a record company flat. They just worked it out on their own. I think they got to know each other, after meeting at parties."

Darius has a reputation for being quite a ladies' man - stepping out with Gossard lingerie model, Kate Groombridge, and his Colourblind video co-star, Jackie Ainsley.

He hit the headlines, earlier this month, after enjoying a three way snog with two girls - ironically at a London party being held in Sinead's honour.

Sinead, the feisty Fermanagh lass, who enjoyed a Number Two hit with her first single, I Can't Break Down, is aiming for more chart success with her next release, What You Need Is (out next Monday) and debut album, Ready To Run (out July 14).

DARIUS may have been disappointed that Girl In The Moon only reached No.21 in the UK chart last week, but he is enjoying more success in the Far East. His single Incredible has knocked Justin Timberlake's Rock Your Body off the No.1 spot in Singapore.

Mum Nicky said: "Her prayers were answered. It was a dream come true for her. It was a bit of a shock when she got up on stage. She was screaming her head off and that probably why he picked her. She had a big smile and was very pleased about it. He asked her name, age and where she lived."

Juliette was sitting in the third row in Birmingham's National Indoor Area when she was spotted by the pop star at a recent concert. Atomic Kitten, Girls Aloud and Mis-Teeq also performed.

The youngster is a pupil at Kingsley School, Leamington, and her ambition is to become a singer.

Her mum said: "She has already done a few shows at school.

DARIUS Danesh has again proved he is a true Scotsman - but this time without his kilt.

The singer strikes a cheeky pose in nothing but a Scotland jersey to show his support for the national team as they take on Germany today.

But at least he has a strategically placed football to spare his blushes this time.

He mistakenly showed off his ball skills during a recent concert at the Clyde Auditorium when he knelt down while wearing the kilt.

Back in Scotland after a sell-out tour, Darius, 22, is looking forward to a good show from Berti Vogts' boys today.

He said: "There is bound to be a bit of niggle in the game as Berti is German and the German coach, Rudi Voller, used to work for him.

"Both have enormous experience so anything could happen - and Scotland are always at their best when they appear to be down and out.

"For morale and ego's sake, there is a tension there already. This has all the makings of a memorable match.

"We should never write Scotland off. I'm certainly hoping we can pull off a shock result."

The strapping pop star, from Bearsden, Glasgow, says he loved the beautiful game during his youth.

He said: "That was the best part of being at school, kicking a ball around the playground during lunchbreak."

Darius, whose new single Girl in the Moon is out on Tuesday, also spoke for the first time about his gig mishap.

The Record switchboard was jammed with fans asking us to print our raunchy photo, rather than the sanitised version.

But Darius laughed off the fuss, saying: "I'm amazed to hear fans are offering good money for the snap.

"I was obviously the victim of a clever photographer as I had angled myself so that there was no way the crowd could see anything. I'm always a true Scotsman but I must admit I had been warned to wear briefs as another band on the bill, Triple 8, had threatened to lift my kilt up on stage."

Pop Idol hunk Darius is to make a one-off guest appearance in Hollyoaks in what will be his small screen debut.

But the role won't be too much of a challenge for the strapping Glaswegian - he's playing himself.

Darius will be the star attraction at the Hollyoaks Community College graduation ball in what promises to be a romantic finale to the students' celebrations. And the star told The insider how much he enjoyed filming on location at Mersey TV at the end of May, alongside all those famously gorgeous soap babes. "It was great fun," he smiles, "and also quite strange to be surrounded by so many familiar faces! I was at Edinburgh University before finishing my final year and taking part in Pop Idol so it brought back memories of my own graduation."

The special episode will be aired on Friday, July 4 and it shows Hollyoaks longest-running character Tony meeting Darius, who turns out to be his favourite singer.

Tony, played by Nick Pickard, is star-struck and it makes for a typically farcical introduction. "Tony, as usual, acts very strangely," Nick told The insider. "He is quite in awe at first, then manages to ask for an autograph. But he's not really the suave, sophisticated businessman he likes to think he is and he certainly can't hold the sort of attention that a heart-throb like Darius can."

Like any pop star worth his chart place, Darius never misses the chance for a spot of promotion and he'll be performing his new single Girl In The Moon on the show.

But will any of those beautiful Chester girls send single lad Darius's heart into orbit?

DARIUS DANESH had a saucy three-way snog with two lesbians at a recent party.

The Scots heart-throb fell for a pretty girl at a bash held for Fame Academy star Sinead Quinn, but he was disappointed when he saw her kissing another girl.

He revealed: "I saw a girl I fancied at the bar. She was having a drink and I went up and had a chat. Later she disappeared so I went and had a dance. Next time I see her, she's snogging another girl."

But Darius did not give up on the object of his affections.

He said: "My mate said, `she might be bisexual'. So I decided to put it to the test. I stood right next to them, but they were having none of me. That was until I broke in with the line, `Is there enough to share?'

Surprisingly, Darius' cheesy chat-up line actually worked.

He recalled: "To my amazement she stood up, took me by the face and started to snog me. Then her mate joined in. I'd never experienced anything like it.

"It was a bit awkward to start with, but then we found our rhythm. I eventually had to sit down and they ended up sitting on each knee."

The Bearsden boy is on a roll with a new single out next week called Girl In The Moon and a book which will reveal what really happened backstage on Pop Idol and Popstars.

And Darius is ready for the backlash from people like Simon Cowell as their secrets are revealed.

He said: "I had to wait for legal reasons and once all that passed I decided to concentrate on my music. But the time is ready now to bring the whole book out. It's nearly finished and should be out by September.

"It's called Sink or Swim, a behind-the-scenes view of Popstars and Pop Idol.

"It's all the stories that didn't even hit the screen, all the fascinating stuff that went off, off-screen. It's the stuff that people might find enticing.

"You can never be worried if you tell the truth. I'm just being honest. I made many friends from being on these programmes, even with the people that you might think I could have fallen foul of.

"When I turned down a record deal from Simon Cowell, you might have thought that we would have fallen out.

"On the contrary, we're friends. I hope we stay friends after the book comes out."

That all depends - does Darius plan to reveal the reason why Simon wears his trousers so high?

Darius has confessed to allowing a girlfriend to shave his manhood.

The pop star, who is currently single, says he dated a student for a short time over Christmas but she proved too full-on.

And he says the move made him very itchy - particularly around the time of his appearance at the Just Married film premiere in March.

Darius, who dated model Jackie Ainsley for a short time, says he's enjoying his single status too much to be in a serious relationship.

During a recent gig he plucked a girl out of the crowd and kissed her on the stage, before asking her out.

And he also admits to having a three-way snog with two female fans at a London party.

He told Heat magazine: "I'm just enjoying myself that's all. I haven't been drinking like this since university.

"Through Pop Idol and the recording of my album, I didn't drink. I was really focused on getting my record done. But now I feel I can cut loose a bit more."

He was once ridiculed for an outrageous performance of Britney Spears' Hit me baby one more time.
