Singer Darius shares his secret Valentine's wedding exclusively with 'HELLO!'

Hello Magazine 14 March 2011

It was the most intimate celebrity wedding of the year, with the happy couple joined only by the bride's two sons.

And shortly after Darius Campbell and Natasha Henstridge exchanged vows at a ranch in Santa Barbara, California, they shared their happiness exclusively with HELLO! magazine.

The Canadian-born actress told HELLO!: "Apart from the boys, we didn’t tell anyone what we were planning - it was a very hard secret to keep!"

Thirty-six-year-old Natasha, who recently starred in US TV series Eli Stone, added: "I was like that young girl who dreams about her wedding day and I really felt it had all come true."

For Darius, 30, who suffered a near-fatal car crash last summer the day was just as special . He described the wedding as "the best day of my life".

This week's issue, number 1166, contains all the intimate photos and details of how the couple's seven-year courtship culminated in a low-key Valentine's Day wedding organised in just seven days.

So Darius, did you say marry us?

The Scottish Sun 02 March 2011

POP hunk Darius Campbell last night sparked rumours he has secretly wed lover Natasha Henstridge after the couple were spotted with rings on their wedding fingers.

The 30-year-old Popstar To Operastar winner and gorgeous actress Natasha sported matching bands while house-hunting in Los Angeles.

Sources claimed that Scots singer Darius and Species babe Natasha, 36, got hitched in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

And blonde Natasha - who was also wearing a dazzling sparkler - certainly looked delighted as she was snapped clutching a wrapped gift this week.

Darius and Canadian star Natasha - who has two children from a previous marriage - began dating in 2005 and got engaged in 2009.

They split a year later but swiftly rekindled their romance.

And pals had expected him to pop the question when she joined him as he performed at Stirling Castle's Hogmanay bash.

A source said: "They are madly in love and clearly made for each other - it's only a matter of time."

But last night Glasgow-born Darius laughed off the wedding rumours.

The Colourblind chart-topper said: "We haven't tied the knot yet. But when we do it would be my pleasure to tell The Scottish Sun first."

Is that the smile of a blushing bride? Beaming Natasha Henstridge and Darius Campbell emerge with wedding rings

dailymail.co.uk 02 March 2011

Species star Natasha Henstridge and her long-term love Darius Campbell have emerged wearing wedding bands, promoting speculation they have secretly married.

The couple, who have been in an on-off relationship for five years, were pictured hunting for a house in Bel Air, California, yesterday.

Pop Idol's Darius - who changed his surname from Danesh to Campbell - looked dapper in a grey suit and blue shirt, while his new bride went more for comfort in a beige and brown winter ensemble.

The couple are rumoured to have tied the knot a low-key ceremony in Santa Barbara.

The actress and singer split for five months last year but reunited and Natasha proudly showed off a diamond engagement ring in June.

Darius, 30, who plays stepdad to Natasha's two sons, had put their break-up down to the pressures of maintaining a long distance relationship.

While 36-year-old Natasha, a Canadian-born actress known for her role in sci-fi film Species, preferred to stay in Los Angeles, he was starring in London West End productions including Chicago, Gone With The Wind and Guys and Dolls.

He appeared in the opera Carmen in London’s O2 arena after winning reality show From Popstar to Operastar.

Darius spoke to the Scottish Daily Record about the split back last year. He said: 'We were in love and enjoyed a wonderful engagement.

‘But for Natasha to move forward with her life, she needed to stay in Los Angeles and I had to come home to Scotland to work in the UK.

‘It was clear our romantic relationship was a success but that it was difficult because it was an epic long-distance one.

He added: 'I was doing Chicago and would fly from London at 1am on a Sunday morning, arriving in Los Angeles at 4pm that afternoon then having five or six hours with Natasha before getting on the Sunday night flight to be back for my Monday night performance.'

Darius recently swapped his name, saying he wanted to honour his Scottish side.

He previously dated part-time model Jacqui Ainsley, 29, who is now dating Madonna's ex-husband Guy Ritchie.

Darius revealed last summer that he was just three millimetres from death after a horror crash in which he broke his neck.

The singer - who first found fame on TV's Popstars then Pop Idol - declared: 'I feel like the luckiest man alive.'

Speaking about the accident for the first time, he told Hello! magazine he turned down an operation because he feared it may damage his voice.

Campbell said his 'trauma compression injury' was similar to that suffered by Superman actor Christopher Reeve who was paralysed after a horse riding accident.

The 30-year-old stage star was a passenger in a Porsche when it hit a wall at 70mph after skidding on oil during a sunshine break in Spain.

The impact caused one of his vertebrae to crack down the middle. He was told by a nurse: 'Three millimetres this way, you no walk; three millimetres that way, you're dead.'

Campbell added: 'It was like how you'd talk to a baby, but I knew what she was trying to say - I was the luckiest man alive.'

He said the accident happened on a 'lads' driving holiday' as they drove on a motorway in searing heat.

He added: 'Because of the haze, we didn't see that there was a diesel spill on the road. Before we could work out what was going on, it was already too late.

Campbell added: 'I'm so happy to be alive. I've definitely used up one of my nine lives.'
