Darius: Hi guys, great to see so many of you in here, I’m overwhelmed!

Darius: OK first question, Will Young? He’s a great guy, a really great human being. I count him as a good friend

Darius: The tour? Lot’s of live music, not telling anymore, you’ll have to get a ticket and see!

Abstar: I love you, will you marry me? ( couldn’t find the question somewhere near the start, but I know that was the gist of it)

Darius: abstar-I love you too, I’m a bit too young to get married tho’, maybe in a few years!

Roxychic: Hi darius you sexy stud, it’s your biggest fan with a mum who loves you and wants you round for tea. Love yax x hi to everyone in Gosport x

Darius : roxychic say Hi to your Mum, gotta love your mum’s guys…..

Crystal: Hey Darius u r so gorgeous and talented. Do u have a girlfriend?

Darius: Crystal- unfortunately I don’t have a girlfriend, still looking for my girl next door…if I don’t find her by next Friday I’ll be having a lonely Valentine’s day! x

Jo: can any other members of your family sing? Or are you the only musical one?

Darius: Jo- my younger brother, he’s 18 he plays violin and piano and my youngest brother Cyrus he sings and is just starting to learn the piano – he wants to be a popstar!

Darius: Aria is studying medicine and Cyrus is torn between popstar and the next David Beckham.

Nikki: ( our Nikki Yay!) Darius I wondered why you decided to release Incredible instead of Girl in the Moon. They are both brill but I’m curious.

Darius: nikki- I wanted to release another upbeat song before releasing a ballad. There’s a more detailed answer on my website. I’ve got many questions to answer here, this is so great!

Steph: Do you prefer to use an electric toothbrush to a normal one?

Darius: Steph, - ha ha! I’m a Colgate boy! x

Leanne: Hi darius when you were in PopIdol how well did you think you were gonna do?

Darius: leanne- I hoped I was going to win and I thought I had a shot, or I wouldn’t have entered. By the time I got to the final tho I didn’t really want to win. I knew I wanted to do my own material. But I think the Will and gareth stuff is great.

Elli; Hi darius. Have you ever had any pets? If you have what were they and what did you call them please?

Darius: elly- sweet question! At the age of 3 I had a goldfish called Rocky, and then my whole life I grew up with a cat called Sheera.

Katie : I love you. Can I ask you about Rachel. You said you broke up with her but on your album sleeve you said thanks to my angel which is what you call her.

Darius: Katie I think we all have a guardian angel, sometimes it can be a girlfriend or a friend or one of your parents. That thank you is to somebody who gave me a lot of love and strength when I needed it.

Collette: Hi darius your music is a big inspiration to me. What do you think is the most musical sport?

Darius: Collette- probably football ‘cos it’s given rise to the football chants. Won’t catch me doing an ant and dec on a football song tho!

Nat ( via e-mail) which of your songs took the longest to write?

Darius : Some of the songs on the album took less than a day. Colourblind was in under an hour, the best songs come quickly.

Rach : Hi darius how are ya? Who would you most like to sing a duet with???

Darius: rach- It would be a dream to work with Madonna but I know she never duets with anybody. But hey we can all dream x

Fiona (e-mail) Do you have any bad habits?

Darius: Yes, but too many to list here. I hope my good qualities balance them out.x

K: Darius if you could have sung any song over the past year what would it have been?

Darius: K – that’s a tough one – if I could have sung any song over the past year it would have been something like Avril’s ‘Complicated’ ( can I just say…ahhhghgghh Nooooo)

Lorraine: What is your most treasured possession and why? I would like to thank you for making my dream come true at our xmas do for first direct. You kissed my hand and sang to me…you made my night…fancy a date? Ha! I wish!

Darius: lorraine- I think I might remember you! My most treasured possession is a Gibson sg200 because I wrote the album on it. A date - are you free on Valentine’s day?

Cutest question : Oliver (who’s 5) What’s your best toy? Unfortunately Darius didn’t answer this one.

Claire: I think you’re fab. Can’t wait for the tour, are you pleased with how your album has done over here and how are you doing in other countries?

Darius: Claire- I’ve just received the great news that Universal have made me an International priority in Europe so I look forward to launching Colourblind and the album soon.

Luke: What do you think of the Cheeky Girls?

Darius : Luke- I don’t know who’s cheekier, the girls or TATU.

Tinsell: When is Darius going on tour ‘cos I need to see him in the flesh.

Darius: tinsell – the Dive In tour hits a theatre near you from May 2nd for one month all up and down the country. Tickets on sale check out my website, but we’re almost sold out already.

Sarah 4 : Hi darius I just love your new single and the vid is wicked. Did you enjoy making it?

Darius: sarah4- I had an awesome time in Barcelona, they hired out the main station it was great! A dozen platforms, 200 extras and one of the best music video directors, he’s done Britney, U2 and Oasis.

Sammi: What’s your favourite song in the chart at the moment/

Darius: - sammi – god you’ve really caught me, the new Kelly Rowland song is quite good, the Camron song is wicked he’s on the same label as me, I was lucky enough to get his album before it was released.

Darius: Happy Valentine’s day to all of you too xxx.

Darius: I’d like to wish a whole lot of love to all the girls out there. Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and find someone special to share it with. xxx.

Pinky: What’s your nickname?

Darius: Ha ha! I have different nicknames, the one I’m known for is Big D – I can’t say why…

Faye : How tall are you?

Darius : faye – 6 foot 2 and ¾ but I reckon people think I’m taller ‘cos my hair is quite high.

Louise: How are u? Do you still bother with anyone out of Popstars.?

Darius: louise – I saw Hayley just before Christmas, I haven’t seen the popstars in a while other than Liberty X I saw Will and Gareth just before xmas too.

Ro: Darius as U r Scottish is it true that you wear nothing under that kilt?

Darius: ro- I’m a true Scotsman, I’m sure you can work out the rest!

Girlinda: What’s your ideal valentine’s pressie?

Darius : girlinda – my ideal valentine’s pressie would be a candle lit dinner date with the girl next door followed by something romantic and secluded but I can’t tell you where.

Clivey: R U upset at not being nominated for a Brit?

Darius: Clivey – Not at all, I think Brit nominations are for people who have made a big impression on the music industry.

Dee: What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?

Darius: dee- I’d love to tell you but if I told you it would spoil that romantic moment that we shared between two people.

Clair: I support Derby County and I just want to know what team you support?

Darius: Clair – Partick Thistle!

Mel : Hi Darius God you are cute and Scottish like myself, would you ever date a fan?

Darius: mel- If the situation was right and it was for the right reasons ( I want somebody who would like me for who I am and not what I do)

Steph: Darius I think you’re so fit! Is it scary when you’re performing?

Darius: steph – I get butterflies before I go on stage, but as soon a s I hit the mike seeing the fans turns the anticipation into adrenillin.

Robyn: Would you like to try acting, maybe a Scot DR on ER.

Darius: Robyn- ha ha ha! Well Sean Connery is one of my idols but my acting is limited to my music videos.

Beckie: Hey gorgeous do you have somebody in particular who you look up to like a role model?

Darius: beckie- actually I get my parents as role models but I also have icons like Mahhamod Ali. Sean Connery and James dean.

Gill: Hi Darius, what do you like to do in your free time/

Darius : Gill- if I’m not gigging I love to scuba dive, wind surf, play tennis and go bowling with my younger brother, if not clubbing with my mates.

Fiona: What’s your favourite fragrance for a woman?

Darius : Fiona great question, I love Escape or Georgio Armani for me and Allure for her.

Jenny: Who is your favourite celeb that you’ve met and why?

Darius: jenny- Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones but I got to know the Brosnan family after Pierce invited us to the after show party at the the last bond premier.

Claira: Who has been the maddest fan you’ve ever met and what did they do?

Darius: claira- Can’t remember her name but she was lovely, smiling and proposed to me while trying put a ring on my finger.

Ami; It’s been rumoured that you’ve been writing with Daniel Bedingfield. Is there any truth in this rumour?

Darius: ami- Daniel’s a friend, as songwriters we respect each other and I’m suer at some stage we’ll end up in the studio together, right now we’re both really busy.

Ed: Yo big D I’ve got Rushes as my ringtone what’s yours/

Darius: ed- I’ve got Nelly and Kelly but it’s started to get irritating!

Sarah: How long have you been playing the guitar for?

Darius: Sarah – I started to play at the age of 13 then wrote my first song.

Joany: I’m a very old fan, does it surprise you that you appeal to so many ages?

Darius: - Joany- I think that a good song appeals to a wider audience. So I think it’;s great that a wider age group likes my music, I must writing good songs!

Fiona: How did it feel to be the only artist in the final 5 of the ROTY with an original song?

Darius – Fiona- Hey you’ve sent loads of questions xxxx to you! It knocked me off my feet. I didn’t realise till that night that all the others were covers in some way.

Ella: Are you still sleeping on your friend’s floor?

Darius: Ella- that was a while ago now, I’ve now got a base in London and in Edinburgh, but thanks to all my friends for all the couches I’ve slept on.

Coz: On ur new album how many of the songs did you write

Darius: coz- I write or co-write everything I perform, and I like to have a hand in the creative process from the very beginning to the end and managed to produce on Dive In as well.

Darius: I just want to say a big thank you to all the fans for their continued and loyal support. I couldn’t do it without you. Every time you hear a song of mine in a funny way I’m kind of singing it to you. Much respect and much love, big d XXX.
