Nina's Darius World

Since we last caught up with Darius, a photo of him baring his, ahem, bits, has come to light. The saucy snap landed in Sneak's email inbox, and we can't wait to grill Daz about how embarrassed he was when he saw it.

Darius, how on earth did that photo end up on the internet?!

"It's one of the funniest things that I've ever seen! I was doing a gig in Glasgow and it was a fan's birthday! Her mum had written to me asking if I could sing Happy Birthday to her, so I got her up on stage, and got down on one knee to sing to her. Unfortunately, I was wearing a kilt - and being a true Scot, I wasn't wearing any underwear! I failed to notice that there was a photographer by the stage and he got a full-on shot of my privates!"

Did you realise he'd taken the photo at the time?

"I didn't find out until a friend in New York emailed it to me - it had been emailed around the whole world! Everyone was saying it wasn't real, but it is! It's one of the most embarrassing things ever, but it's funny, too. My mates took me out for a pint to congratulate me. I'm sort of proud!"

So apart from flashing your privates by accident, what else have you been up to?

"Well, I've been doing the other half of being a singer-songwriter, which is writing the songs! I went to Los Angeles to write. It was fantastic! I went to the beach and met loads of clebs."

Cool! Who's your most famous celeb mate?

"I hang out with Daniel Bedingfield quite a bit, and I know his sister, Natasha, through him. Natasha's on a roll at the moment - These Words describes how I felt when I was writing my new album. It's my favourite pop song right now. I wish I'd written it."

So now you're back from LA, do you prefer British girls or American girls?

"Definitely British girls, American girls aspire to an O.C. lifestyle. They have a lot of attitude and worry about what they wear too much, while British girls are more sensitive and caring."

Heartbroken

So are you single at the minute? We heard that you were snogging the girl who stars in your new video!

"Everyone's been saying that! She's called Natasha and she's not my new girlfriend. The Press have got it completely wrong. I have been on dates with her, but the truth is that I've just come out of a long-term relationship and it's still too soon to go into something else. I just want to be single and have my own space at the moment."

Are you still getting over your ex, then?

"Yeah, I'm still heartbroken to be honest. It's one of those things that happens to everyone in their life, and it just aches. You don't eat or sleep and you have bad dreams. It's one of the worst things in the world, but also one of the best, 'cos without it you can't appreciate the good stuff. Without heartache I couldn't have written my new album."

You must be getting lots of snogging action now you're single again, though. What's your top tip?

"Just don't rush it, and don't end up with more of their saliva in your mouth than your own! I started off as a terrible kisser. My first ever snog didn't go well. I was 14 and she was 16, and all the guys were egging me on 'cos she ws older. I was so nervous that when I went for the kiss, my mouth was dry and my palms were sweaty!"

What happened next?

"When my lips did eventually reach hers, I realised that I hadn't breathed for about a minute, so I took a big gulp of air, at which point I sucked her lower lip into my mouth, and then I really couldn't breathe! I had to exhale really loudly out of my nose! I think she thought I was a freak."
