Hello!
Cosmo Girl
He's suffered from writer's block - but Darius Danesh returns with a moving take on music....
We thought you'd fallen down a well!
"I've been doing the other half of being a singer-songwriter - writing the songs - but for the first five months I've had writer's block."
Why was that?
"I found out my father had cancer. It prompted me to put my career on hold - and that affected my ability to write. Once I took the pressure off myself, it all flowed."
So is the new single about dealing with that?
"I wanted to express something simple to my father, which is how I felt about him, and wrote Live Twice."
Did he have any words of wisdom for you?
"He said, 'Darius, you can't put your life on hold for me I fight to live to see the achievements of my children and to see you achieve your dream. I don't want you to hit pause. You've got to keep moving forward.'"
Are your fans being supportive?
"My fans mean everything. Without them, I wouldn't be here. It's personal sentiments people send to me that give me the encouragement and the motivation to get back in the studio and write better music. To improve myself and look at other ways of learning."
