Darius Danesh tells Deany Judd the personal philisopy he feels has helped him in life :

"Never, never give up! is my philosophy in life. It was something my maternal grandfather told me often when I was growing up"

My grandfather. He started working in the dockyards at Greenock at 14 , in winter, his hands often froze to the metal - it puts working in the music business into perspective"

I was very badly bullied at school. I didn't tell my parents until the day I was so badly beaten that I had to be hospitalised and the police were called"

In a funny way, my experience on Popstars, when I was seen as a pony-tailed fool, reminds me of being bullied at school. If I hadn't been so stubborn and re-auditioned for Pop Idol, I wouldn't be, I hope, the respected recording artist I am now "
Affairs of the heart
I much prefer long lasting relationships to quick flings. I have a girlfriend at the moment, but we see very little of each other. The fact that it is working despite that makes it even more special

I met Sean Connery at a film premiere and asked his advice on making a career in showbusiness. He said "You've only ever failed if you stop trying" which is my philosophy worded a different way...so it must be a good one.
