Hello!
Cosmo Girl
OVER TO YOU:
Here's your questions....
Ever regret going on Pop Idol? (from Jamie Stewart)
No, I was very lucky and proud to be on Pop Idol. It was a great experience and I am amazed at all the wodnerful things that have happened since. I have released two albums, 'Dive In' going platinum, as well as having top ten hits, and supported Shakira on tour. It's been an incredible journey.
If you could change the past, would you change anything at all or would you keep it the way it is? Why? (from Rachel from Glasgow)
I have no regrets. It's just all experience. You learn from it, move on, and appreciate life.
Are you doing any tours this year? I am one of your biggest fans. (from Alison)
I am doing a Europen tour this year, which will definitely take in the UK. No dates are announced as yet as I'm waiting to find out. It depends on the dates for the trip to India and the rest of the European tour. Watch this space.
Who inspires you most? What got you interested in music? P.S I would like to say I hope you enjoyed your visit to Paisley when you switched on our Christmas lights.(love from a big fan of yours Ashleigh McGowan)
I very much enjoyed coming to Paisley and felt honoured to turn on the lights.
Last year I was inspired and influenced by the band sound. Bands like Maroon 5 and Keane. So I had the band sound in the back of my mind while I was writing this album.
It was bands like Reef, and their track 'Place Your Hands', Extreme with 'More Than Words', and Green Day with 'Time Of Your Life' that got me interested in music. They are great great tracks that inspired me.
Why in your latest video are you running after a horse? And who in the music world are you friends with? (from Lauren McPhee)
The horse is a metaphor. It's like life or love. You reach and chase after something but just can't quite get hold of it.
N.B Did you know that the horse used in the video is actually the same on Brad Pitt rode in the film 'Troy'? If so, clever you!
Everyone really. I have done some songwriting with Seal, and Jamiroquai. Popstars like Geri Halliwell, and Girls Aloud. I also hang out with some very talented song writers. There's also the Bedingfields Natasha and Daniel who are friends.
How do you like being a popstar? (Jenna from Paisley)
I love the job. I feel so privileged to be doing what I'm doing.
Do you have a Young Scot card? (from Coolmilne)
No, I don't at the moment. (Ed: I'm sure we can sort Darius out)
Thanks Darius!
And a huge big thanks to everyone who emailed us with their questions for Darius!
